SUMMARY:Porthole to Infinity
DESCRIPTION:This series emerges from a deeply personal idea: to understand these figures as mythical birds of the soul. For me\, quetzals are not merely natural beings\, but symbolic presences that inhabit consciousness\, the bloodstream\, and the deepest layers of the self. Rather than depicting them in a literal way\, I translate them into faces. This stems from a clear conviction: if we seek to glimpse a person’s inner world—the soul—the most immediate and revealing path is through the face. It is there that the invisible becomes visible. In this series\, the face becomes a bridge between the internal and the external—a kind of “urban quetzal” that lives within each individual. Color plays a fundamental role in my work. I am currently developing a line of research in which I conceive color as an active energy\, with a healing potential on an emotional and spiritual level. I do not understand it as decorative\, but as a language that influences mood\, perception\, and the inner connection of the viewer.
